The Grand Circuit

Marrakech to the ksar,
and back again

One journey, arranged end to end. We meet your flight at Marrakech, take the Tizi n'Tichka into the High Atlas and come down the old salt road to Telouet and Aït Ben Haddou, where the night is ours to look after. The second day belongs to the valleys around the ksar and to Ouarzazate, before the road back to Marrakech.

Day by Day

Two days, four hundred kilometres

Long enough to see the Atlas properly, short enough to fly in and out on the same trip. Departures are private, so the timings bend around your flight.

  • Day one · Marrakech, Telouet, Aït Ben Haddou We collect you at Marrakech airport and climb the Tizi n'Tichka to 2,260 metres, then leave the main road for the old salt route to Telouet and the painted salons of the Glaoui kasbah. Down the Ounila to Aït Ben Haddou, with the afternoon free for the ksar. Dinner and the night are with us.

  • Day two · the valleys, Ouarzazate, Marrakech The sunrise viewpoint over the ksar, then the valleys on our doorstep — Tamdaght, the Ounila villages and the palm gardens along the river. On to Ouarzazate for the Taourirt kasbah and the film studios, and the Fint oasis if the light holds, before the road back over the Atlas.
